Dear Mr. President,

I wish to draw your attention to the perilous situation that is going on around the conservation of the remarkable Shukov Tower.

According to recent correspondences with Docomomo Russia, and the information gathered among all international forums with expression worldwide media, DO.CO.MO.MO. (the international committee for the documentation and conservation of buildings, sites and neighborhoods of the modern movement) painfully realizes that the Shukov Tower is under threat of destruction.

The Shukov Tower is a unique project and a masterpiece. The Shukov Tower has a very special place in the world as it represents the modernity of the exceptional technical and architectural Russian achievements. It is indeed a symbol of progress and innovation recognized all over the world. DO.CO.MO.MO. International is aware of the concern that the present situation has produced in architectural and conservation circles worldwide.

We fully support our colleagues from Docomomo Russia in their efforts to save the Shukov Tower. Dear Mr. President, I wish to say as DO.CO.MO.MO. International Chair that the Shukov Tower is an irreplaceable masterpiece and we all know that the coming generations will enjoy sharing this unique legacy from the skilled Russian creators.
